I took these pictures in Gavin's car on the way to church! He & Vanessa had been such a blessing to us, driving our whole family weekly to church, fellowship over dinner, & back home again.

Charis is making funny faces. I realised today that she kept sucking her lips the past week even when she's not sleepy because she was growing teeth! She has 2 teeth at her lower gums now! So fast hor?

Although Charis was wearing one that seems a little big for her, I really love it! The band is neither tight nor loose on her head, thus causes no pressure on her small head, which is of utmost importance to me. Also, it is so sweet & easy to match with her tops. I'm so into headbands & I bought 6 of them for Charis before HipKids Boutique came into existence, but my favourite one is still this one.

In case you are thinking I'm getting some kind of advertising fees, I'm definitely not :)

Sally the Snail

I mentioned in the previous post about how much Charis likes "Sally the Snail" storybook. Well, this is how much she likes it:

She enjoys talking to her new friend, Sally (besides baby Eyeore). I think it's amusing how baby girls tend to have "imaginery" friends :)

Charis Loves Books!

I went to Rivervale Mall today & bought some books for her. They were only $1 each! But of course, they were 2nd hand books.

I read "Sally the Snail" to her today & she enjoyed it so much! She kept smiling at it & reaching out for it! Whenever I point to her the various animals printed inside the book, she kept laughing at them. Her favourite character is Sally & the bee.

Bad Habits

As Charis grows older, she acquired more habits... some good, some bad, & some interesting ones...

She needs to strike these poses in sequence in order to fall asleep. She needs one hand to cover her left side of her face, & the other hand over the right side of her head. It helps if she has a napkin or towel or blanket to pull over her right side of her head too.

She will suck & lick her tongue or lower lips in order to fall to sleep...

For some wierd reason, she simply detests milk! Yes, wierd to the ultimate! Never heard of babies disliking milk right? She'll shake her head violently & protest loudly by "singing"!

She loves to eat solid food though! She may reject her milk but is ever eager to eat our food when we try to tempt her!

Charis is my No. 1 fan!

Everytime Charis sees me when I fetch her from my sis' place, she would keep on jumping for joy & smile non-stop. She also loves looking & grinning at me. So sweet!

Whenever James calls her but she turned to look at me instead, James would tell her jokingly (but jealously), "Don't forget the hand that feed you."

Maybe I should say, "Don't forget the one who gave birth to you."

I love it when she just bonds with me!
